2024 Taipei Immersion Trip | Day 6

Today is the last day at Taipei. After waking up and taking my temperature, it was great to know that I have recovered from fever. We came down for breakfast for the last time.

Afterwards, we went to Vigor Kobo, a factory that makes pineapple cakes.

We then went up to the second floor, where we washed our hands and made our own pineapple cakes. Using the dough (combination of flour, sugar, eggs and butter), and the pineapple filling, we made the pineapple cakes with the mould.

Firstly, we had to separate the dough and pineapple filling into 3 different pieces (as we would be making 3 pineapple cakes). Secondly, we had to wrap the dough around the pineapple filling and ensure they are not exposed. We used the mould to form the pineapple cake.

When we were all done, we started with the tour around the factory.

It was a great experience learning more about how the cakes are made in the factory.

The tour ended, and I got the chance to buy some pineapple cakes. Many samples were given for us to try as well.

Lunch

It was then time for the last meal we’ll have in Taipei, where we had a wide variety of food.

We even had a chicken to ourselves, and Guan Heng, my group mate, helped to prepare it.

After our meal, it was time to go to the airport and prepare to board our flight. On the journey to the airport, we had a Karaoke session where we sang different Chinese songs, which ended our trip on a great note.

We went to our resting place in the airport, and saw a Lego corner where we made different creations.

We then checked our luggage in and went to the boarding gate, where we took a group picture.

Afterwards, it was time to board the plane. As we concluded the trip, we thought about the different lessons and memories we shared. Being part of the Taipei immersion trip is an opportunity that I would cherish, and I would never forget this experience.
