Harry Potter

The Deathly Hallows book was released on 7 July 2009. Harry Potter, the main character, was given a task from Dumbledore, a headmaster in Hogwarts, who died in the Half-Blood Prince book, to kill Voldermort. By doing that, Harry Potter must destroy all the Horcruxes that belong to Voldemort. A Horcrux is an object formed by dark magic that is used by a wizard or witch in the Harry Potter series. Horcruxes are created to achieve immortality by splitting a dark wizard’s soul into separate pieces.

The Order of the Phoenix book was released on 28 June 2007. Harry Potter can read Voldemort’s mind. Does that mean something? When Voldermort knew it, he tricked Harry that he would kill his godfather. Then he used Floo Powder, a method of transportation, to go to save his godfather. Then, his godfather went to save him. He told Harry to leave. Unfortunately, Harry’s godfather died as Death Eater, Bellatrix, had killed him.

Science Adventures

The science fiction comic is for children from primary school. It teaches us about science and lets children do the revision worksheets in the book.

Show how to take care of books:

• Wrap the cover page with a plastic cover so that it does not get dirty.
• Clean your hands before reading.
• Do not scribble on books.
• Place books on shelf if not using.
• Try not to fold the cover.

Show how to use a dictionary

1. Find the word you want to look up.
2. Find the letter that the word begins with.
3. Open the dictionary to the page with the relevant letter.
4. Now, look at the second letter in the word you are looking for.
5. Continue until you find it.

Explain how the books in the library are set out

Books are set in the library by genre and then alphabetical order of authors’ name. We can find fiction books and non-fiction books by seeing the label.
